Sara Mahshid is Associate Professor in the Department of Bioengineering at McGill University, where she holds a Tier 2 Canada Research Chair in Nano-Biosensing Devices. Her interdisciplinary research group develops cutting-edge bio-nano-medical devices for point-of-care diagnostics and therapeutics, spanning the fields of chemistry, nanotechnology, and biology. With 30+ HQP trained, she serves as Institutional Lead at McGill. Within QuantOmics, Dr. Mahshid contributes to Stream 1 (Quantum Sensor Design and Fabrication), focusing on miniaturization and signal enhancement, and co-teaches Course 1.1 — Biosensor Engineering for Precision Health.
