Naimul Khan is Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical, Computer, and Biomedical Engineering at Toronto Metropolitan University and Director of the Multimedia Research Laboratory. His research focuses on multimodal machine learning, integrating AI, imaging, and biosensing technologies for healthcare applications. With over $3M in research funding from NSERC, OCE, MITACS, and SSHRC, he has led projects on physiological signal analysis for arrhythmia, therapeutic virtual reality experience design with emotion recognition, and AI-driven diagnostics from neonatal ultrasound. Dr. Khan has trained over 50 HQP, with graduates advancing to roles in academia and industry. As Program Director of QuantOmics, he is responsible for the overall operation of the program, leads Stream 3 (AI-Powered Therapeutic Design), oversees curriculum development, and co-leads the Multimodal-Omics Data Integration Bootcamp.
