Project title: Localization of Quantum Dots With Deep Learning

Brief project description: Microscopes are great, but they have some hard limits due to the nature of light. Nothing is discernible below 200nm in size due to the law of diffraction. Specialized techniques like STORM exist to surpass this, but are expensive and time consuming. Deep Learning provides a method to bridge this gap. By creating diffraction limited images of quantum dots with confocal microscopes and localizations from atomic force microscopes, we will train a Deep learning model to localize QDs from diffraction limited images.
